Refund Policy

Oceania MathsJam Gathering is run by volunteers — registration fees cover our venue hire, catering and other running costs. Opt in extras allow us to coordinate transport and accommodation. The organisers will not be making any money from OMG, and can not afford to cover full refunds from our personal account if the there are last minute cancellations.

In the event of a nationwide or Canterbury-wide emergency (or other forced cancellation), we will first aim to postpone the event. If this is not possible, or you can not attend the postponed event, we will do our best to retrieve committed deposits and refund as much as possible.

Accommodation booked through us for the shared accommodation option will be subject to the Spencer Park Cancellation Policy.

COVID Policy

We expect all attendees to respect the current COVID-19 safety guidelines. There will be masks and hand sanitiser available throughout the course of the gathering.

If you are sick or symptomatic, have recently been exposed to COVID-19, or are otherwise told to self-isolate, according to government guidelines you must not attend the gathering. It will be up to the discretion of the organisers to offer either a full or partial refund for cancellation after October 1st depending on available funds — we will endeavour to be as fair and transparent as possible. This also applies if you are otherwise unexpectedly indisposed.
